[Chinese and foreign toy network April 25 news] April 20, 2017, The US Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) and Razor USA LLC jointly announced a voluntary recall of electric scooters made in China. The recalled product is a RipStik electric scooter with two wheels, a hub motor and a lithium-ion battery, a handheld wireless digital remote control, and a control speed of up to 10 mph. The barcode on the bottom of the product is printed with the date of manufacture and embossed Razor USA LLC. The word Ripstik is printed on the pedal. This product is sold in blue and black. The recalled products were sold in Target, Toys R Us, Walmart and other stores in the United States from February 2016 to April 2017, as well as Amazon.com, Razor.com, Target.com, toysrus.com, Walmart.com and other stores in the United States. Approximately 15,800 pieces were sold in other online stores. The unit price is about US$180. The reason for the recall is that the rear wheel may stop rotating and lock when in use, causing the risk of falling. So far, the company has received 700 reports of rear wheel locking, resulting in 4 injuries, including 1 with loose teeth and 3 with bruises and strains. The US Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Razor to obtain a free repair kit.
