The humble little toy created an export value of 145 million U.S. dollars for our province last year, ranking eighth in the country. From January to May of this year, our province’s toy exports reached another 56.01 million US dollars, an increase of 4.03% year-on-year, but the growth rate ranked last among the top ten provinces in my country’s toy exports. Statistics show that in 2013, national toy exports were 12.38 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 8.12% year-on-year. Guangdong, Zhejiang and Jiangsu occupy the top three toy export provinces. In 2013, the export of toys in our province was US$145 million, a year-on-year increase of 4.75%, accounting for 1.17% of the country's total, and the export value ranked eighth in the country. In 2013, there were 31 production enterprises in our province with toy exports exceeding 1 million U.S. dollars. From January to May of this year, judging from the situation of the top ten toy export enterprises in our province, half of the enterprises' exports declined, and the growth rate of enterprise exports showed a trend of steep rise and fall. The analysis believes that the enterprises that have transferred industries to our province have increased their exports because of the transfer of orders, while the original toy manufacturers in our province are facing many difficulties, lack of innovative talents, rising labor costs, and weak export growth.
