On April 14, 2021, the US Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of rattle toys made in China. The recalled product is Playgro's Clip Clop rattle toy. The product is in the shape of a blue plush pony. Two of the four legs are used as rattles, one leg has a mirror, and the horseback has an abacus and 3 beads. Clip Clop is printed on the side label; batch numbers 010053 and 010082 are printed on the label at the seam; UPC 9321104011459 is printed on the product package. The beads on the product may fall off, posing a risk of suffocation for children. The recalled products were sold in Wal-Mart’s physical stores and online stores from November 2020 to January 2021. About 18,000 pieces were sold at a price of approximately US$5. Up to now, there have been no reports of accidents or casualties. CPSC advises consumers to stop using the product immediately and contact Playgro for a free replacement.
