The toy export situation in Anhui Province has improved this year, with steady growth

The reporter learned from Hefei Customs that from January to June this year, Anhui Province’s toy exports were 420 million yuan, an increase of 3.8% over the same period last year and accounting for 1.3% of the country’s total toy exports during the same period.　　 Since March, the export situation of toys in Anhui Province has improved, with steady growth. In terms of single-month exports, exports in March and May increased year-on-year and month-on-month. In June, exports in a single month were 78 million yuan, an increase of 14.1% year-on-year and a decrease of 8.4% month-on-month. In terms of cumulative exports, from January to June, it increased by 3.8% year-on-year, from a decline to an increase, and the export recovery in the second quarter became stronger.　　 European and American countries are still the largest export markets for toys in Anhui Province. In the first half of the year, Anhui Province exported 140 million yuan in toys to the United States, down 1%; it exported 110 million yuan in toys to the 28 EU countries, an increase of 33.6%. The two together accounted for 59.5% of the total toy export value during the same period. From a regional perspective, exports from Hefei and Chuzhou accounted for 73.6% of the province’s total toy exports during the same period. According to the analysis of customs experts, at present, the export of toy companies in Anhui Province is mainly concentrated in low-end products, with low production technology requirements, which are easier to be replaced by emerging countries, and profit margins are also small; while in higher-end areas, such as a full set of model components, Anhui Provincial toy companies are less involved, therefore, the export structure urgently needs to be optimized and upgraded.
