On March 6, 2015, the European Commission’s Rapid Non-Food Early Warning System (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning to Chinese-made 'Habitat' brand wooden toys. The reporting country of this case is the United Kingdom. The wooden toys reported this time are wooden firefighters and fire trucks. The toys are packed in a carton with the CE mark and the warning word 'suitable for children over 10 months' printed on the surface of the carton. The styles/models of the above products are 125991,141/6844. The product has 86,000,000 (toys) in the OECD Portal Category of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The toy tool set mentioned above is likely to bring a choking hazard to children. The product contains small parts (toy engine, radiator, and firefighter's helmet), which are easy to detach. Younger children are easy to eat these small parts by accident, which may cause a choking hazard. This product does not meet the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1. At present, importers have adopted voluntary recall measures for the above-mentioned products.
