Because small parts are easy to fall off, children may suffocate by accident, or the ingredients contained in plastic materials may endanger children's health, the European Union has issued consumer warnings to recall three plastic toys made in China, involving kitchenware toy guns, etc. MARCO'S TOYS brand plastic toys On November 18, 2016, the European Commission’s Rapid Warning System for Non-Food Products (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning for Chinese-made MARCO'S TOYS brand plastic toys (Alarm No.: A12/1481/16). The notifying country of this case is Spain. The products notified this time are plastic toys of various red and black butterflies and blue ladybugs. Sealed cardboard blister packaging, cardboard with various patterns. The style/model of the product is Ref. 1556, lot 7/15. The barcode is 8435399015564. The OECD Portal Category code for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is 86000000-Toys / Games. The wheels on the toy butterflies and ladybugs mentioned above are easy to disassemble and produce small parts. Children may choke if swallowed by mistake. This product does not meet the requirements of the 'EU Toy Safety Directive' and the relevant European standard EN 71-1. Currently, the Spanish authorities have taken measures to delist the above products. LOBEALY brand kitchen toys On November 18, 2016, the European Commission’s non-food rapid warning system (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning for Chinese-made LOBEALY brand kitchen toys (alarm number: A12/1492/16). The notifying country of this case is Spain. The product notified this time is a kitchen kit toy with a doll, packaged in a transparent window-opening carton. The product model is 805-2, lot: HST/2016-2. The bar code is 8426292005349. The OECD Portal Category code for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is 86000000-Toys / Games. The plastic material of the above doll contains bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (detection value by weight 15.7%) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (detection value by weight) 0.18%). Such ingredients may harm the health of children and damage the reproductive system. According to EU REACH regulations, all toys and child care products are prohibited from containing di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP). At present, the Spanish authorities have taken measures to refuse imports of the above-mentioned products. DONG QI brand toy gun On November 18, 2016, the European Commission’s Rapid Non-food Warning System (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning for Chinese-made DONG QI brand toy guns (Warning Number: A12/1473/16). The notifying country of this case is Slovenia. The product notified this time is a plastic water gun (two-in-one), equipped with spherical bullets (polymers with absorbing properties) and foam bullets with suction cups. Suitable for children over 6 years old. The style/model of the product is M:138, No 2336/140051. The bar code is 8010014000516. The OECD Portal Category code for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is 86000000-Toys / Games. The spherical bullets of the toy guns mentioned above may be eaten by children, posing a risk of suffocation. When the bullet swells, it may cause fatal blockage of the airways or intestinal blockage. In addition, the suction cup on the bullet is easy to fall off, and if swallowed by mistake, it may cause suffocation. The sound pressure level of the toy gun is too high, which may cause hearing loss. This product does not meet the requirements of the 'EU Toy Safety Directive' and the relevant European standard EN 71-1. At present, distributors have taken measures to recall the above products from consumers.
