India introduces new policy, toy exporters need to pay attention

by:Ennas      2022-01-07
On September 1, 2017, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued Notice No. 26/2015-2020 to revise the toy import policy and implement it immediately. The new policy has two major changes compared to the previous policy: first, toys must meet the Indian IS9873 series of standards and IS15644: 2006 standards; second, toy samples need to be sent to the National Laboratory Testing and Accreditation Board of India (NABL) for laboratory testing. The inspection and quarantine department reminds exporting and Indian toy manufacturers and traders to pay close attention to the Indian import toy policy and take early measures to avoid unnecessary losses.
