According to Shantou Customs, from January to November 2015, the export value of toys in Shantou was 6.65 billion yuan, an increase of 11.9% over the same period in 2014 (the same below), and the growth rate was 5.5 percentage points higher than that in the same period in 2014, accounting for the same period. 17.7% of Shantou’s total export value.   Since 2015, Shantou’s toy exports have been characterized by outstanding characteristics: they are mainly general trade exports and their growth has been significant. From January to November 2015, Shantou’s toy exports were 6.58 billion yuan in general trade, an increase of 13.5%, accounting for 98.9% of the total value of Shantou’s toy exports during the same period. The growth of private enterprises is higher than the overall trend. From January to November 2015, Shantou's private enterprises exported 5.87 billion yuan, an increase of 13%, accounting for 88.3%.   Among them, exports to some major markets have grown strongly. For example, from January to November 2015, Shantou exported 2.45 billion yuan in toys to ASEAN, an increase of 20.7%; in the same period, exports to South Korea were 830 million yuan, an increase of 53.4%; exports to the EU were 640 million yuan, an increase of 10.2%; exports to Hong Kong were 580 million yuan The export to the UAE was 400 million yuan, an increase of 6.4%; the export to the United States was 400 million yuan, an increase of 24.3%; the above-mentioned 6 accounted for 79.8%, a significant increase.  According to customs, since 2015, Shantou’s toy exports have maintained growth thanks to the recovery of the European and American markets and the “Belt and Road” construction, as well as the acceleration of the transformation and upgrading of the toy industry by Shantou enterprises. In particular, many toy private enterprises with independent innovation have strengthened technological innovation, adjusted product structure, accelerated the introduction of automated production equipment and robots, continuously improved product production efficiency, better adapted to market changes, and helped toy export growth. At the 118th Canton Fair held in October 2015, Shantou took the 'Internet + World Toy Dream Factory' as the main body and established the 'Chenghai Toy Street' composed of 35 prominent and childlike display windows. Brand VI elements and mascots are organically connected with elements such as 'Internet' and 'cloud' to provide professional toy buyers with a diversified product experience and attract a large number of buyers to negotiate.
